The last study visit of the project was held in France.

The last study visit of the project was organized in France which aimed to study, compare and discuss the technical and administrative procedures and processes related with the risk reduction of disasters and the management of emergency/crisis situations. Within the scope of the event which was organized between 09-15 September 2018, project team leader Lorenzo van Wijk and 13 AFAD staff were in the delegation which led by the project SPO and AFAD Vice President Mr. Hamza TAŞDELEN.

During the trip; European Earthquake Centre (Centre d’étude des tremblements de terre CSEM-EMSC), Marseille Marine Fire Brigade (Bataillon de Marins-Pompiers de Marseille (BMPM)), Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Officiers de Sapeurs-Pompiers (ENSOSP), Rhone Department of fire and Rescue  Service (Départemental d’Incendie et de Secours des Bouches du Rhône (SDIS 13)), Department of Civil Security and Crisis Management (Direction Générale de la Sécurité Civile et de la Gestion des Crises (DGSCGC) and COGIC (National control room)), The National Civil and Military CBRN Training Centre (Centre National Civil et Militaire de Formation et d’Entrainement Nucléaire, Radiologique, Biologique, Chimique et Explosive (CNCMFE – NRBC-E)) visited and received information about the management and organizations.

In addition, courtesy visits were made to the Paris governorship and to the Turkish Embassy.
